Small Dog Daycare

Small dog daycare offers numerous benefits by fostering a safe and supportive environment where dogs can engage in structured play and socialization. One of the most crucial aspects is the careful separation of dogs based on both size and play style. Small dogs, when grouped with others of similar size and temperament, are more likely to feel secure and confident, which in turn encourages healthy, positive interactions. This tailored approach minimizes the risk of injury and anxiety, ensuring that each dog is matched with compatible play partners. By creating an environment where small dogs can comfortably interact with others in a controlled setting, daycare facilities promote not only physical activity but also emotional well-being, helping dogs to develop stronger social skills and confidence in their surroundings

Our Play Spaces

Surf City Pawille has a giant indoor play room combined with great play yards.  We also have daycare staff on duty Monday – Saturday (and half days on Sunday) to coordinate daycare play groups.

Health & Safety

Our play groups are well regulated to ensure everyone comes home healthy and happy.  We combine pets of similar size and temperament in smaller groups that are always closely attended by experienced staff members.  Additionally, we only permit dogs that have been spayed or neutered to play.  Last of all, our staff members are routinely given Pet First Aid & CPR classes to ensure they understand animal health and safety.

We require the following vaccines for our daycare pups:

  • bordetella (every 6 months)
  • distemper combo
  • rabies
  • Canine Influenza

Combining Boarding & Daycare

Although our boarding dogs get complimentary playtime out in the play yard alone or with friends , they still spend most of their time in the comfort of their own townhome/private yard.  If your pup is sociable and has lots of energy to burn, we encourage you to let them play with the daycare dogs all day long for an additional $8/half day.

Dog Daycare FAQ

We require, rabies, distemper, canine influenza and bordetella (administered by a veterinarian).

Un-spayed female dogs up to 6 months of age may still engage in group play.  Un-neutered male dogs up to 1 year may engage in group play.  However, at the first sign of unaltered canine behavior (including heat cycle, excessive humping, aggression, etc.), that dog is cut off from group play immediately, regardless of age.

We have an indoor play room we use for inclement weather.  However, most daycare dogs spend most of their time out in our play yards.
